Endodontic (Root Canal) Treatment

Getting to the root of your trouble and
Saving your damaged tooth.

We also provide The GentleWave® Procedure, an innovative alternative to standard root canal treatment. (learn more)

By far the most common endodontic procedure is a root canal.

Your tooth consists of three layers—the enamel, an inner hard layer called the dentine, and soft inner tissue called the pulp. When the pulp becomes inflamed or infected due to deep decay, repeated dental procedures on a tooth or injury, it is necessary to perform a root canal.

During this procedure, we will carefully remove the damaged pulp, clean and shape the inside of your root canal and fill and seal the space. Afterwards, your dentist will place a crown or other restoration on the tooth.

After a brief recovery period, you’ll be back to normal with a healthy, fully functional tooth.

Throughout the procedure, the team at Premier will do everything we can to minimize your discomfort and answer your questions. While you will experience some sensitivity after your procedure, you can treat it with over-the-counter pain medications.

Please see our sections on Before Treatment and After Treatment to learn more about what to expect during a typical root canal procedure.

So relax. Your mouth is in good hands at Premier.
